The Challenge
An outdoor outfitter specializing in guided hunting and fishing trips wanted to generate more qualified bookings without hiring additional staff.
At the time, there was no online booking platform. Every customer inquiry had to be handled manually through Facebook Messenger, email, and phone calls before invoices could even be sent. The owner was spending a significant amount of time answering the same questions over and over instead of selling trips.
The goal wasn’t simply more leads—it was more qualified conversations.
My Approach
Rather than treating this as “just” an advertising campaign, I built an entire lead-generation system.
The project included:
- Google Search advertising targeting high-intent booking searches
- Facebook and Instagram campaigns focused on audiences interested in outdoor travel
- Custom landing pages designed around specific trip types
- Automated Messenger conversations that answered common questions instantly
- Customer profiling that captured lead information into Google Sheets
- Qualification workflows that helped prioritize serious prospects
Instead of forcing every visitor into a contact form, the system guided potential customers through a conversation while collecting the information needed to close sales efficiently.
Results
Over approximately three months:
- More than $70,000 in net revenue generated
- Significant reduction in repetitive customer support
- Better-qualified inquiries
- Faster response times
- Streamlined sales process despite every booking still requiring manual invoicing
Perhaps most importantly, the owner could spend more time selling trips and less time answering the same introductory questions dozens of times each week.
Key Takeaway
Sometimes improving marketing isn’t about getting more traffic.
It’s about designing a system that attracts the right customers, qualifies them automatically, and gives the business owner more time to focus on closing sales.
